What is Amazon Prime Day?

Introduced in 2015 in part to celebrate Amazon’s 20th anniversary, the first Amazon Prime Day was a one-day-only retail holiday that sought to overtake Black Friday as the sales event of the year.

Amazon Prime Day is the annual shopping holiday that’s exclusive to Prime subscribers. Historically, Prime Day has launched in mid-July, and unlike Black Friday or Cyber Monday, Prime Day deals last up to 36 hours. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can sign up for a free trial just to take advantage of the deals.

Expect stellar savings on tech like 4K HDR TVs, headphones, wireless chargers, Amazon Echo and Fire products, smartphones, and more. We’ll be hand-picking only the very best deals for you to check out. Other retailers tend to drop prices during Prime Day, so you’ll also find the best anti-Prime Day sales from eBay, Walmart, Best Buy, and more

When is Amazon Prime Day?

It is on July 15th and 16th – Kicks off 12  am PT on the 15th

What can you expect from Amazon Prime Day 2019?

You can expect 48 hours worth of deals on not only Amazon’s own devices, such as the Amazon Echo, but also products across a range of categories, including business tech goodies. So, yes, we anticipate deep cuts on Fire TVs, Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers, and Echo devices, but you should look for Black Friday-style deals across the entire site.

Expect some deals to last the full two days, while others will be quick, limited-time deals.

Where is Amazon Prime Day 2019 deals available?

Prime Day deals are available to Prime members in their own country: US, UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, India, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, Singapore, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the United Arab Emirates.

Should I sign up for Amazon Prime now?

This mega bonanza is exclusively only for Amazon Prime Members, which costs $113 per year or $13 per month if you don’t want to pay at once.

Worth it? If you’re getting it just for Prime Day, then probably not. I’m here to tell you that Amazon products go on sale all the time. (Example: The Amazon Echo was recently discounted to $65, the lowest price to date — and that had nothing to do with Prime Day.)

If you don’t want to pay for Prime but do want access to the Prime Day deals, here’s one strategy: Sign up for Amazon’s free 30-day Prime trial. The only catch: That’s for new subscribers only, so if you’ve done the trial or been a member before, you can’t get another trial.

When you’re shopping for something on another site, the Assistant can show you the same or similar products that Amazon sells, along with any offers, ratings and reviews associated with the product.

1. While shopping on another shopping site, the Assistant may pop up an alert at the top of your browser window, notifying you it’s found results on Amazon that you may be interested in.

2. Click the More results link on the left or right side of the alert to see what the Assistant has found.

3. The Assistant will display a page of products related to the one you’re shopping for.

4. If you’re interested in something on the page, tap the product to go to its page on Amazon’s site.
